Why is important?

After 60-90 days following a new leader’s assignment it is crucial for the leader and the team to know each other more, to enhance team cooperation, and to confirm the acceptance of the new leader by the team. Moreover, it is important to learn as a result of a moderate workshop what works well and should be kept, and what does not work so effectively and should be changed. Finally, the new leader, as well as all the team members share their expectations and requests with each other to enhance efficiency.

What is the goal?

• Lay down the base rules of the cooperation with the team followed by the leader assignment
• Enhance the motivation and commitment
• Communicate the future vision and the goals for the team
• Learn each others’ requests and expectations and work out the commonly accepted cooperation rules
• Provide an opportunity for the team members to ask any questions from the new leader and share all their thoughts (“hot chair”)
• Build the team by learning more about each other
• Strengthen cooperation.
